ABC is a dedicated, friendly, employee-owned architect’s office, with a creative and motivated atmosphere. The practice is situated in the west end of Glasgow, and we are looking for a part II architectural assistant to join us as one of our employee owners.

This is a role for an enthusiastic, highly organised, and proactive person who wants to join a creative practice.

Our practice has a broad spectrum of project experience, as well as a varied ongoing workload including housing, healthcare, commercial, education, and community projects. We love architecture and, in our office, you’ll be creatively challenged and encouraged to develop your architectural career.

We are looking for a full-time architectural assistant, qualified to RIBA part 2 level, preferably with 1-3 years practical experience, to assist with the current workload in our Glasgow office.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Have strong design skills and a sensitivity for place making.
  • Be proficient in Revit, ideally with 1 year’s experience in a professional environment.
  • Have strong AutoCAD, SketchUp & Adobe Creative Suite experience.
  • Have effective computer, graphic, and written communication skills.
  • Have a good understanding of construction detailing and specification.
  • Be familiar with current Building Regulations & Energy Standards.
  • Be able to work efficiently and accurately with minimum supervision.
  • Be highly motivated while displaying initiative, responsibility, & commitment.

Employee Owners

  • Can choose the hours they work, around the core hours of 10am – 4pm
  • Work a reduced day on a Friday, the office closes at 5pm
  • Work in a hybrid format, all employee owners are in the office min 2 days each week
  • Start with 35 days leave, which will increase in line with our policy to 40 days
