The Role
Working as part of the finance function, you’ll have a varied role covering both management and financial accounting responsibilities. Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Producing meaningful variance analysis and commentary
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing control accounts
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements
- Assisting with audit requirements and liaising with external auditors
- Supporting VAT and other financial reporting requirements
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
- Working closely with stakeholders across the wider organisation
- Providing financial insight and analysis to support business decisions

About You
We’re looking for a part-qualified accountant who is keen to develop their technical accounting and commercial finance experience. You’ll ideally have:
- Part-qualified status with ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Experience within a management or financial accounting environment
- Good knowledge of month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Exposure to statutory accounts and audit
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
- The confidence to work with stakeholders across the business
- A proactive mindset and genuine desire to progress your career
