Role Description

The Part Qualified Accountant will support the delivery of accounting and advisory services to a portfolio of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Preparing financial statements
  • Maintaining ledgers
  • Processing invoices
  • Assisting with management accounts and cash flow reporting
  • Supporting tax computations
  • Assisting with VAT returns
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

The accountant will liaise with clients to gather financial information, resolve queries, and provide clear explanations of accounting matters. This is a full-time, on-site role based in London, working closely with senior accountants to progress towards full qualification.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should be part qualified with a recognized accounting body (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) and actively pursuing full qualification.
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in financial accounting and reporting, including preparation of accounts, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Candidates should possess competency in tax and compliance tasks, such as basic tax computations, VAT returns, and understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, use of formulas, and preparation of reports.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and collaborate with team members.
  • Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Relevant experience in practice or industry accounting, ideally in a similar role, is highly beneficial.
