Overview

We’re looking for an Accountant to join our Treasury team and support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting. You’ll play a key role in month-end processes, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting, working closely with other Finance teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, work collaboratively, and contribute to the success of a global organisation. This role offers study support to complete your accountancy qualification.

How you'll make an impact

  • Prepare reconciliations for general ledger, bank balances, control accounts, FX analysis, intercompany, and loan balances.
  • Support month-end processes, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate and contribute to quarterly board pack submissions.
  • Assist with quarterly regulatory and FCA reporting requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication with other Finance teams to resolve outstanding transactions.
  • Prepare and review journal entries with proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Gallagher Offshore Team to meet Treasury Accounting needs.
  • Provide accurate management information and support audit processes.
  • Assist with acquisition, integration, and transition activities.
  • Identify and escalate issues, risks, or delays to the Team Leader or Manager.

About You

  • You’ve got a degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • You’re working towards, or interested in pursuing, a formal accountancy qualification.
  • You’re confident using Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • You’ve got experience with finance systems, reconciliations, journals, and reporting processes (preferred).
  • You’re professional, organised, and detail-oriented.
  • You’re great at building relationships and working with stakeholders.
  • You’re solutions-focused, proactive, and results-driven.
  • You’re eligible to work in the UK.
