Anderson Knight is delighted to partner with its client to hire a Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has already built a solid foundation in accounting and is looking to develop their experience further within a supportive and forward-thinking business.
Working closely with the wider finance team, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts function. You will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting activities while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and progress towards full qualification.
The Role
As a Part Qualified Assistant Accountant, you will be involved in a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes.
- Preparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities where required.
- Supporting cash flow reporting and general financial analysis.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensuring financial records are accurate, complete, and maintained in line with company procedures.
- Working with colleagues across the business to resolve finance-related queries.
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc analysis and projects.

About You
We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, organised, and keen to continue developing their accounting career. You will ideally be part-qualified or actively working towards a recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
You will have good attention to detail and be comfortable working with numbers, while also being able to communicate confidently with colleagues at different levels. Experience within a finance or accounting environment is important, but just as importantly, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is willing to learn and take on new responsibilities.
