Part Qualified Accountant - Audit Team
TPF Recruitment, we are proud to be supporting a leading accountancy practice in their search for a Part Qualified Accountant to join their Audit team, with a focus on the Charity and Not for Profit sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented part qualified professional to develop their audit experience while working with organizations that deliver real social impact. You will gain exposure to a varied charity client base and be supported by experienced senior team members as you progress your studies and career.
The firm is a well-established and respected practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality audit, assurance, and advisory services. With a supportive and collaborative culture, they offer structured development, study support, and meaningful client work within the Charity and Not for Profit sector.
Key Responsibilities
Audit and Technical Delivery
- Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments
- Prepare audit working papers in line with firm and regulatory standards
- Support fieldwork including testing of controls and substantive procedures
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and year-end accounts
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and charity regulations
Client Management
- Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries
- Support senior team members in maintaining strong client relationships
- Communicate professionally and effectively with client stakeholders

Team Management
- Work collaboratively with senior auditors and managers
- Take direction from senior team members and contribute positively to team delivery
- Support a culture of teamwork, accuracy, and shared responsibility
- Develop skills through on-the-job learning and feedback
Portfolio and Delivery Support
- Support delivery across a varied portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients
- Ensure audit work is completed accurately and within deadlines
- Maintain strong attention to detail across all assignments
- Contribute to high-quality service delivery across the audit team
Business Development and Expansion
- Develop awareness of the Charity and Not for Profit sector
- Build knowledge and understanding of audit processes and client service delivery
- Support the wider team in maintaining a high-quality client experience
Requirements
Skills and Experience Required
- Fully AAT qualified or part qualified ACA or ACCA
- Strong interest in audit and the charity and not-for-profit sector
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
- Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Previous audit experience would be advantageous
- Experience working with charity or not-for-profit clients would be beneficial
- Knowledge of charity accounting frameworks such as SORP would be desirable
Benefits
- Salary: The salary for this role is dependent on study stage and experience: £28,000 - £40,000
