This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to further develop their career within a supportive and dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the preparation and analysis of financial information across the Group while contributing to a range of month-end and reporting activities.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts for the Group
- Calculate and post accruals, prepayments, and other month-end journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Monthly P&L variance analysis against budget/forecasts etc. for the Group
- Investigate and resolve finance queries arising after month-end close.
- Assist with audit processes and provide supporting documentation as required.
- Support the Senior Management Accountant, Finance Manager, and Financial Accountant with ad hoc projects and finance-related tasks.

Skills required
- Effective time management & ability to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Positive, proactive approach with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Qualifications & Experience
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Previous practice experience or a minimum of two years' experience in a similar management accounting role.
- Experience preparing management accounts and supporting month-end processes is desirable.
