Meraki Talent are exclusively supporting a permanent Finance Business Partner/Accountant role based in Edinburgh paying up to £62,500 FTE/ £50,000 for 4 days with hybrid/flexible working including a competitive benefits package.

The Role

This newly created position offers a genuinely broad, end-to-end remit across finance, with a clear focus on maximising the ROI and performance of internal functions through high-impact finance business partnering. The role will combine commercial insight, analysis and stakeholder engagement with a willingness to remain hands-on across the ledgers and month-end close.

Operating within a relatively low-volume transactional environment, the role provides the capacity to move beyond traditional finance processing and focus on the areas where finance can genuinely add value i.e. improving performance, driving efficiency and influencing decision-making across the wider business.

The key components will include:

  • Business partnering with internal business functions and revenue streams of the company
  • Production of monthly management accounts & reporting packs
  • Budgeting, forecasting, planning and financial analysis
  • Ensuring robust month-end close and overseeing transactional finance
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems

The position of Finance Business Partner/Accountant is based in Edinburgh with hybrid/flexible working options. Due to the role being newly created and a recent restructure, it's likely to limit progression opportunities for the next few years so this role with typically fit best of an individual that is comfortable for staying at the same level for the short-medium term future, however there will always be the chance to get involved in exciting projects moving forward.

  • A minimum of 5 years practical finance experience, with at least 3 years tenure with management accounts exposure
  • Ability to communicate and business partner with non-financial stakeholders & functions
  • Competent user of Excel
