Job Role
We're Hiring: Accommodation Support Officer
Are you passionate about helping people overcome challenges and build brighter futures? Do you have the resilience, empathy and determination to support individuals through some of the most important transitions in their lives?
As an Accommodation Support Officer, you'll play a vital role in helping individuals access and sustain suitable accommodation, supporting them to overcome barriers and move towards greater stability and independence. Managing a caseload of adult males both in custody and living within the community, you'll work closely with probation practitioners and partner organisations to assess individual needs, develop tailored support plans and deliver practical interventions that create long-term positive outcomes.
This is far more than a housing role. Every day you'll have the opportunity to build trust, provide guidance and help individuals navigate complex challenges. Whether that's securing accommodation, liaising with housing providers, helping someone understand their options, or empowering them to take the next step forward, your support will have a real and lasting impact.
We're looking for motivated and compassionate individuals who enjoy working with people and making a positive difference. Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to manage a caseload and maintain accurate records. Experience in housing, homelessness, criminal justice, social care, mental health, education or other people-focused environments would be beneficial; however, transferable skills, relevant lived experience and a genuine commitment to helping others achieve positive change are equally valued.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
