Karntek is looking for an Accounts Administrator to join our team and provide essential support across our day-to-day finance activities.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accounts or finance administration experience who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy and would like to be part of a supportive and friendly team.

The Role
As our Accounts Administrator, you will play an important part in keeping our finance processes running smoothly.
Working across a range of day-to-day accounts activities, you will help maintain accurate financial records, process invoices and payments, support reconciliations and assist with general finance administration.
The role is part-time, for up to 25 hours per week.
What You'll Be Doing
- Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Preparing supplier payment runs for approval
- Maintaining supplier accounts and resolving invoice or payment queries
- Raising sales invoices and credit notes where required
- Allocating customer payments against outstanding invoices
- Supporting credit control and following up overdue accounts
- Carrying out bank and account reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assisting with month-end processes and the preparation of financial information
- Maintaining spreadsheets, reports and management information
- Responding to finance-related queries from customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Maintaining accurate customer and supplier records
- Supporting general finance administration and the wider team as required

Requirements
We're looking for someone who is organised, dependable and comfortable working with numbers.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within accounts, finance or a similar administrative role
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- The ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member
- A professional and discreet approach when handling confidential information

Desirable - But Not Essential
It would be helpful if you have experience in some of the following, but we don't expect you to tick every box:
- Xero or similar accounting software
- Salesforce
- Purchase ledger and/or sales ledger processes
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit control
- An AAT, bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or currently working towards one
Practical experience and the right attitude are just as important to us.
