Part-Time Accounts Assistant

Location: Trafford Park, Manchester

Salary: Up to £30,000 FTE (pro rata)

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Our client, a well-established business based in Trafford Park, is seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised finance professional looking for a part-time position within a supportive and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be available to start immediately and will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Allocating payments and receipts
  • Assisting with payment runs
  • Handling finance-related queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting month-end processes
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
  • General finance and accounting support as required

Person Specification

  • Previous experience working within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar role
  • Strong understanding of transactional finance processes
  • Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
  • Available to start immediately or at short notice
