Why this role matters

We are looking for a friendly, organised Part Time Admin Assistant to support day-to-day office operations within an Automotive & Driving environment. This role helps keep administrative processes running smoothly so technicians, sales and management can focus on delivering excellent service to customers.

Purpose of the role

The primary purpose is to provide reliable administrative support across reception, paperwork, records and basic office systems. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and will ensure accurate, timely handling of routine office tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and answer or triage incoming calls and enquiries.
  • Manage daily paperwork, filing and record-keeping.
  • Process and record basic transactions and paperwork associated with vehicle services or appointments.
  • Maintain office supplies and liaise with suppliers as needed.
  • Support colleagues with data entry, simple reports and administration projects.
  • Ensure customer records and appointment systems are kept up to date and accurate.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer-facing role.
  • Clear, friendly communication skills both in person and on the phone.
  • Good organisation, attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Comfortable using standard office software (email, spreadsheets, word processing) and basic database or booking systems.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility for the role.

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • Experience within automotive, vehicle services or related customer service settings.
  • Familiarity with appointment scheduling or workshop management systems.
  • Basic numeracy for handling transactions and record reconciliation.
