Part Time Administrator - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Newcastle upon Tyne

£14.80 per hour, 25 hours per week

6 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Part-Time, Ideally 4-5 days per week

Are you an organised, people-focused administrator looking for a part-time admin opportunity within a well-established business with a genuinely positive working culture?

We're recruiting for an Administrator to join the HR team of a successful, privately owned UK business on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a great opportunity for someone with some previous HR administration experience, or a strong administrator looking to develop further within HR. The business is open-minded on background and is primarily looking for someone reliable, organised and confident supporting a busy HR function.

You'll join a small, collaborative HR team and provide day-to-day administrative support across the employee lifecycle. The role has become available due to temporary changes within the team, so they are looking for someone who can join quickly and provide dependable support.

THE ROLE:

  • Providing day-to-day HR administration support across the business
  • Supporting employee onboarding and new starter processes
  • Preparing HR documentation, letters and employee correspondence
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
  • Supporting probation, absence and employee lifecycle processes
  • Assisting with benefits administration
  • Supporting leaver and offboarding processes
  • Responding to general HR and employee queries
  • Ensuring confidential information is handled accurately and appropriately
  • Supporting the HR team with ad-hoc projects and administration
  • Working closely with the HR Manager and wider team to ensure employees receive a responsive and professional service

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
