The Opportunity

Hill McGlynn is recruiting on behalf of an established contractor based in Maidstone for a part-time Accounts & Office Administrator to join their team.

Working within a close-knit office, this is a varied position combining accounts, office administration, health & safety and general business support. In many respects, the role will act as the central point of support for the office, making it well suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership and being involved across different areas of a business.

The environment is fast-paced and busy, so our client is looking for someone organised, proactive and comfortable managing several priorities at once.

The Role

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing accounts payable processes, including checking, processing and chasing invoices
  • Collecting, checking and consolidating employee timesheets
  • Supporting the day-to-day administration and organisation of the office
  • Maintaining accurate financial and administrative records
  • Using Xero to support accounts and finance processes
  • Assisting with internal and external audits and ensuring relevant documentation is maintained
  • Supporting health & safety administration and procedures
  • Maintaining and updating company documentation and records
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team
  • Assisting with additional office, accounts and compliance duties as required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
