Part-Time Attendance and Administration Coordinator

Are you looking to be part of a team that's helping to develop the next generation of Fire & Security professionals? If yes, our Part-Time Attendance and Administration Coordinator role may be what you're looking for.

Banham Academy, part of the Banham Group, delivers high-quality apprenticeships and technical training to learners and employers across the industry. In this role, you'll be a vital part of the Academy's success, supporting learners, managing attendance processes, and ensuring essential administrative activities run smoothly.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment and takes pride in providing outstanding support and service, working five mornings per week.

Please note: This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Due to the nature of the position, this is a fully site-based role.

What will I be doing?

You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of our apprenticeship programme, ensuring learners, tutors, and employers receive an excellent experience throughout their journey.

  • Provide administrative support to the Deputy Head of Academy and wider team.
  • Work closely with tutors to capture and maintain learner attendance and punctuality records.
  • Liaise with employers to communicate learner absences and late attendance.
  • Coordinate alternative attendance arrangements to accommodate learner sickness, holidays, or other circumstances.
  • Offer guidance and support to learners, helping them access the information and resources they need.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data management requirements - we are Matrix accredited.
  • Respond to enquiries from learners, employers, and colleagues, providing excellent customer service.
  • Support a variety of ad hoc administrative tasks to help keep the Academy operating efficiently.

What can you bring to Banham?

We're looking for someone who is proactive, and passionate about delivering excellent support. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same, confidently managing a varied workload, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Exceptional organisational skills with a methodical approach and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage competing tasks.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level), with the confidence to demonstrate your skills during the interview process.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate confidently across a range of platforms, including Teams and Zoom.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach, with a willingness to support learners, colleagues, and stakeholders.

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience managing registers, attendance records, or timetabling activities.
  • Previous experience using e-portfolio systems, such as OneFile or similar learner management platforms.
