About the Role
As a Barista, you'll play a key role in delivering the exceptional coffee experience that Trading Post is known for. You'll combine technical skill with genuine hospitality to craft consistently outstanding coffee while building meaningful connections with our guests. From perfectly dialled-in espresso to beautifully textured milk, every cup reflects the pride we take in our craft. You'll work with premium equipment, high-quality coffee and a supportive team that shares your passion for learning and delivering excellence.

A Day in the Life
As part of our Barista team, you'll:
- Prepare and serve consistently exceptional specialty coffee to Trading Post standards.
- Dial in grinders throughout the day to maintain quality and consistency.
- Steam milk to a high standard and confidently pour basic latte art.
- Develop your knowledge of our coffees, brewing methods and retail products to confidently advise customers.
- Work closely with the Front of House and Kitchen teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organisation across the coffee station.
- Support your teammates during busy periods and contribute to a positive team environment.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you'll:
- Deliver consistently excellent coffee with speed, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Create genuine connections with guests through friendly and knowledgeable service.
- Maintain Trading Post's high standards of quality, cleanliness and hospitality.
- Continue developing your coffee knowledge through regular training and coaching.
- Build confidence in every aspect of specialty coffee and become a trusted member of the team.
- Contribute to a positive culture where teamwork and continuous improvement are valued.
What We're Looking For
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Have previous barista experience in a busy hospitality environment.
- Have a genuine passion for specialty coffee and customer service.
- Take pride in producing consistently high-quality coffee.
- Stay calm and organised under pressure.
- Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive team.
- Have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Are eager to continue learning and developing your coffee knowledge.

Desirable
- Experience with specialty coffee.
- Confident pouring basic latte art.
- Knowledge of alternative milks and espresso extraction.
- Experience using commercial espresso machines and grinders.
