Company Description

DG Supplyline Ltd is a specialist supplier of spare parts for the double glazing repair industry and the retail DIY/home improvement market. The company serves customers across the UK and Europe, providing access to over 1,000 product lines stored in its Essex warehouses. Orders can be placed through a convenient online website, by telephone, or in person at the trade counter in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. DG Supplyline Ltd focuses on reliable service, product availability, and responsive customer support for both trade and domestic customers.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Part-Time Bookkeeper role based in Southend-On-Sea. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including posting daily transactions, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and supplier accounts.

  • Updating ledgers
  • Assisting with preparation of financial statements
  • Processing invoices and payments
  • Monitoring customer and supplier accounts

The role also involves using accounting software to produce reports, supporting basic finance and administrative duties, and collaborating with the wider team to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

Qualifications

  • Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate posting of transactions and maintenance of ledgers.
  • Ability to prepare and support financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and basic finance concepts, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Experience recording and reviewing journal entries (accounting) in a small business or similar environment.
  • Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and ability to work with confidential financial information.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role; relevant certification or coursework is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Southend-On-Sea and manage part-time hours reliably.
