Role Description Part-Time Bookkeeper & Administration

Location: Teddington, London (TW11)
Hours: 3–4 hours per day, 4 days per week (approx. 12–16 hours per week)
Contract: Part-Time
Pay: Depending on experience
Start date: As soon as possible

Based in Teddington, UK, we are looking for a reliable, organised bookkeeper and administrator to keep our finances accurate and up to date

THE ROLE

You will look after the day-to-day financial records of the business, working on-site in Teddington for a few hours each day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enter and code sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts and expenses
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers, including chasing overdue payments
  • Process supplier payments and raise customer invoices
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital
  • Run payroll and handle PAYE/pension submissions, if needed
  • Produce simple monthly reports, such as profit and loss and cash position
  • Keep records tidy and ready for the accountant and year-end
  • Liaise with our external accountant as needed

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous bookkeeping experience in the UK
  • Good working knowledge of UK VAT and general bookkeeping practice
  • Experience with cloud accounting software Xero.
  • Accurate, with strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Able to commit to 4 days a week at our Teddington location

DESIRABLE

  • AAT qualification (or working towards it), or ICB/IAB qualification
  • Experience with payroll and pensions auto-enrolment
  • Proficiency in Excel
