Care Assistant – Home Instead Milton Keynes
Role: Care Assistant (also known as Care Professional, Home Care Assistant, and Care Visitor)
Location: All areas of Milton Keynes
About the Role
A full-time homecare job with Home Instead Milton Keynes, a well-established provider specialising in domiciliary care, companionship, and personal support in clients’ own homes.
Since every experience is unique, each Care Assistant role may include:
- Companionship – fostering meaningful connections with clients.
- Personal Care – supporting daily tasks like bathing, showering, dressing, and grooming.
- Household Support – assisting with light chores, meal prep, and errands.
- Independence Guidance – helping clients maintain their dignity and self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities
- Ensure minimum 1-hour visits (with travel time allocated) to provide companionship, assistance, and comfort.
- Maintain professional integrity while delivering high-quality personal care.
- Understand and apply Relationship-Based Care principles to build trust and empower clients.
- Work flexibly, including weekend and bank holiday periods, for £13.60/hr (midweek) or £13.80/hr (weekends).
- Embrace 25% pay increase on any bank holidays worked (time and a half).

Requirements & Qualifications
All training, NVQ qualifications, and blue lights card scheme access provided through Home Instead’s direct in-house program.
No prior experience required—volunteering, training, and career progression are fully supported.
