Job Description

We are looking for kind and compassionate people like you to join our Home Instead community. As a Home Care Assistant, you will be visiting people in their own home to help them with all aspects of their daily routines and provide meaningful companionship at the same time. Our Office is based in Worle, Weston-super-Mare but we have Clients from Burnham on Sea to Clevedon and everything in between.

This is a part-time position.

The care visits will be between 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The role is for 3 or 4 weekdays plus every other weekend. We also have hours at varied times of day available on the weekends, not just evening hours. So please get in touch and see if we have something to suit you!

As a Care Professional with Home Instead, you will be visiting Clients in their own homes to help them with all elements of their tea time/evening/bed time routines, and provide meaningful companionship at the same time. This may also involve providing personal care assistance.

  • Pay rate of £13.40 (before 6pm on weekdays) - £15.20 (after 6pm and all day on weekends) per hour.

Qualifications

No previous home care assistant experience is needed, just your natural caring qualities. We will support you with full training, shadow shifts and introductions to all your new clients.

Having a full, UK driver's licence and your own car is essential due to some home care assistant tasks that may be involved and being able to travel to client's homes within a 15 minute window.

We provide free ongoing learning and development opportunities such as the Care Certificate, Health and Social Care diplomas and an extensive range of distance learning courses.
