Home Instead is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people.
About the Role
We are actively growing our team of brilliant Care Professionals, particularly for tea time and evening calls.
As a key member of our team, you will deliver quality care that makes a real difference to the people we serve in their homes. Our calls typically last at least one hour and are tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Key aspects of the role:
- Personalized support – each client call is based on individual requirements.
- Flexible, meaningful commitments – you will need to commit to frequent evenings and alternate weekends as specified by client needs.
Our Care Professionals are trained to ensure clients remain:
- Independent
- Active
- Safe
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality companionship and support in clients’ homes.
- Help clients with daily living tasks as agreed, including meal prep, transportation, or leisure activities.
- Ensure safety and independence with exercises, health prompts, or emergency responses.
- Follow strict safeguarding and confidentiality protocols.
- Foster trusted relationships through regular, one-to-one calls.

Requirements
No formal qualifications are required. All training is provided in-house.
Essential criteria: ✔ A compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to enhance someone’s daily life. ✔ Reliability to commit to evenings and alternate weekends. ✔ The ability to communicate effectively with older adults. ✔ Suitable independent transport (critical for client home visits).
Note: Base pay rate is £13.80 per hour plus enhanced rates for weekend/bank holiday shifts.
