Part Time CBT Therapist at HMP Chelmsford

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: A GBP 27,688.80 per annum

Vacancy Type: Permanent

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High Intensity Therapist to join our team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological interventions to adults experiencing common mental health difficulties.

As a High Intensity Therapist, you will provide therapeutic interventions to adults on both an individual basis (face-to-face) and through the facilitation of therapeutic groups. You will work with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, ages, and experiences, demonstrating a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

A key aspect of the role is undertaking comprehensive assessments to determine service users' suitability for evidence-based psychological interventions. You will deliver a range of high-intensity interventions in line with IAPT/NHS Talking Therapies guidance, ensuring care is tailored to individual needs and delivered to the highest clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based, high-intensity psychological interventions in accordance with IAPT/NHS Talking Therapies guidance.
  • Provide individual and group-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Offer line management and support to the Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP).
  • Undertake case management and provide clinical skills support and supervision where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the operational management of the service, including report writing and participation in internal and external multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior PWP and wider leadership team to support service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, managers, and partner organisations.
  • Act as the senior representative on site when required, demonstrating professionalism.
