Description
Splendid Care is moving mandatory and clinical training from e-learning onto face-to-face delivery. We would love you to join our team! This role plans, develops and delivers that programme group-wide, covering topics such as safeguarding, Oliver McGowan Tier 1, infection control and oral care, plus relevant clinical training such as PEG feeding or venipuncture. It also supports the Splendid Way induction for new starters.
The role reports to the Head of Nursing and Clinical Risk.
The role is part time, 3 days a week and based at Tylden House in Warnham, West Sussex. The salary is £34,000 per annum FTE, pro rata.
What You Will Do In This Splendid Role
As a Clinical Trainer, you'll get to:
- Plan, design and deliver a face-to-face clinical and mandatory training programme for all Splendid Care homes, based at Tylden House.
- Deliver core topics including safeguarding adults, Oliver McGowan Tier 1, infection control and oral care, plus other relevant clinical training such as PEG feeding or venipuncture, and further subjects identified through training needs analysis.
- Manage the Splendid Way induction programme for new starters.
- Build and maintain a rolling training calendar and session materials, and coordinate attendance with home managers.
- Maintain accurate training records on the group's internal training system, ensuring accurate reporting, and monitor compliance against the training matrix, escalating gaps and risks to the Head of Nursing and Clinical Risk.
- Identify training needs from audit findings, incident trends and CQC requirements, and keep the training plan current.
- Keep training content aligned to current legislation, the CQC Single Assessment Framework, and best practice guidance.

What Skills You Would Need
- Experience delivering training in a health or social care setting
- Strong working knowledge of safeguarding and CQC standards
- Confident group facilitation and presentation skills
- Able to plan and manage a training calendar independently
- NMC registration and a train-the-trainer qualification, or a learning and development qualification with experience planning and delivering training programmes
- Experience using a learning management system (LMS)
