Part-Time Club Host
We're looking for a warm, organised Part-Time Club Host to run Front of House at WagWorks Islington every Saturday. As the first face members and their dogs see, you'll manage check-in and pick-up, handle enquiries, show prospective members around the club and keep the day running smoothly alongside our Saturday daycare team. You'll pair a natural flair for hospitality with a real fondness for dogs, making every visit feel personal and every owner feel confident in our care. If you're looking for a rewarding weekend role in a premium, dog-first environment, with the option to pick up additional shifts from time to time, this is the role for you.
Location: WagWorks Islington
Contract: Permanent, part-time
Hours: 8 hours every Saturday, 10:00–18:00, with the option of additional shifts from time to time
Pay: £13-£15 per hour (DOE)
Start date: ASAP
Requirements
- Front of House Experience: Previous customer-facing experience in hospitality, retail, a membership club or a reception role.
- Natural Communicator: Warm and confident in person, on the phone and over email or WhatsApp, with the judgement to know when to escalate.
- Organised & Accurate: Comfortable managing bookings, payments and CRM records, with a keen eye for detail.
- Calm Under Pressure: Able to keep the desk running smoothly through busy check-in and pick-up windows.
- Dog Confident: At ease around dogs of all sizes and temperaments; canine experience is a bonus but not essential.
- Reliable & Flexible: Committed to every Saturday, with the availability to pick up occasional additional shifts.

Member & Dog Experience
- Act as the Saturday concierge, greeting members and their dogs by name and anticipating individual preferences.
- Run a smooth, safe check-in and pick-up, confirming bookings, care notes and any health or behavioural updates with the daycare team.
- Give owners a clear handover at collection, sharing highlights from their dog's day.
Front of House Operations
- Open and close Front of House, keeping reception safe, spotless and inviting throughout the day.
- Process bookings, payments, membership changes and add-on services accurately, reconciling payments at close.
- Coordinate with the Saturday daycare team so care requests are actioned and the day runs seamlessly.

Membership Enquiries & Tours
- Welcome and respond to walk-in, phone, email and WhatsApp enquiries, logging details accurately in the CRM.
- Conduct warm, informative club tours for prospective members and pass qualified leads to the membership team for follow-up.
Communication & Reporting
- Keep records, handover notes and the daily log up to date so the weekday team picks up exactly where you left off.
- Escalate any member, dog or operational concerns promptly to the Manager or on-call contact.
