Part-Time Cook - Care Home & Rehabilitation Service

  • Location: Harewood Park, Cheadle, Staffordshire ST10 2EE
  • Pay: £13.33 per hour
  • Hours: 20 hours per week
  • Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern:

2 x 10-hour shifts per week on a rolling rota, including 1 in 3 weekends.

Harewood Park is a specialist rehabilitation service supporting adults with enduring mental health conditions, mild learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cook to join our dedicated team.

The Role

As Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the diverse needs of our residents, including those with specialist dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and cook balanced meals to a high standard
  • Cater for specialist dietary requirements including diabetic, vegetarian and allergy-specific diets
  • Assist with menu planning whilst working within budget guidelines
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Complete all required food safety and environmental health documentation
  • Support stock control, ordering and purchasing activities
  • Work collaboratively with the wider care team to support residents' nutritional needs
  • Help maintain a 5-star food hygiene standard

About You:

  • Previous experience working within a busy kitchen environment is desirable
  • Experience preparing meals for individuals with specialist dietary needs would be advantageous
  • Food Hygiene qualification desirable
  • Reliable, organised and able to work independently
  • Passionate about providing high-quality meals and service
