Company Description

The Risk Academy Ltd is a specialist training platform founded by former UK Special Forces (UKSF) and Royalty and Specialist Protection (RaSP) practitioners, focused on practical, real-world risk and personal safety education. The company delivers scenario-led online and in-person courses covering topics such as hostile environment awareness, OSINT, drone threats, emergency preparedness, and travel safety. Its accredited Level 3 Close Protection course, taught by experienced former UKSF and RaSP professionals, has a 95% job placement rate for those entering the security profession. The Risk Academy serves security and risk professionals, journalists, NGO staff, corporate teams, veterans, service leavers, and travelers heading into higher-risk regions, offering over 500 CPD-accredited courses via a low-cost membership model. The core mission is to build better awareness, enable better decision-making, and reduce risk for individuals and organizations.

Role Description

The Part-time Creator at The Risk Academy Ltd will support the development of engaging learning and marketing content that aligns with the company’s focus on risk awareness and personal safety. Based in New Milton in a hybrid capacity, the role combines on-site collaboration with practitioners and subject-matter experts, alongside flexible work-from-home tasks.   • Drafting and refining course materials
  • Creating digital assets such as short videos, visuals, or social media content
  • Helping structure online learning modules for clarity and engagement
  • Assisting with updating website content
  • Preparing email campaigns
  • Repurposing training insights into articles, posts, and resources for different audience groups

Collaboration with the training and operations teams to ensure content accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand tone and values will be a key part of this role.

Qualifications

  • Strong content creation skills, including written, visual, or multimedia production, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
  • Experience or demonstrable interest in risk management, security, personal safety, or related fields, and willingness to learn from specialist practitioners.
  • Basic digital skills for working with online learning platforms, social media tools, and common design or video-editing software.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage part-time hours effectively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Clear, gender-neutral communication style and strong attention to detail, ensuring professional, accurate, and inclusive content.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and receive feedback constructively, while working independently when required.
