Part-Time Document Controller
Location
Dunfermline, Fife
Working Hours
Part-time – 24 hours per week, with flexible working patterns available
Salary
£16,000–£22,400 per annum (equivalent to £25,000–£35,000 FTE)
Typical salaries for Document Controllers at Riddell PM are equivalent to £25,000–£28,000 FTE. Applicants with specialist technical skills or experience may be considered for salaries equivalent to £28,000–£35,000 FTE.
Flexible Working
We understand that flexibility is important and are open to agreeing a working pattern that suits both the successful applicant and the needs of the business. The role could, for example, be worked over three full days per week or across five shorter, school-friendly days to accommodate school drop-off and pick-up. The exact days and working hours can be discussed and agreed with the successful applicant. There may also be scope for the role to develop into a full-time position in the future, should the successful applicant wish to increase their hours and subject to the needs of the business.

Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, Riddell PM is looking to recruit a Part-Time Document Controller to join our team at our Dunfermline office. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, motivated individual looking for a rewarding part-time position with a well-established company and a working pattern that can provide greater flexibility around family or other commitments.
About the Role
As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating and producing high-quality project handover documentation for a wide range of construction projects across the UK. You will liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather information, monitor project progress, and ensure documentation is delivered accurately and on time.

Requirements
The successful applicant will:
- Be highly organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet strict deadlines.
- Be goal-orientated with the drive and determination to consistently achieve monthly performance targets, which are adjusted on a pro rata basis for part-time employees.
- Be highly computer literate with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Have fast and accurate typing skills.
- Possess excellent telephone and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with external companies to obtain project information.
- Be comfortable attending video meetings with clients and providing regular project progress updates.
- Be able to learn new software quickly and develop a thorough understanding of our Building Manual products and services.
- Be willing to travel to construction sites throughout the UK when required.
- Have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Skills That May Attract a Higher Starting Salary
Applicants with one or more of the following skills or experience may be considered for a higher starting salary, depending on the level of expertise they can bring to the role:
- Mechanical or Electrical knowledge, technical qualifications, or relevant trade experience.
- Experience producing high-quality video content using professional camera equipment and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Desirable Skills and Experience
The following would also be advantageous:
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Experience compiling Operation & Maintenance Manuals or other construction handover documentation.
