S. Clyde Weaver is hiring a part-time Farmers Market Associate at our market stand in Central Market in downtown Lancaster.
This position is Saturdays only from 7 AM - 3 PM. Employees receive free lunch, employee discounts, and free parking in parking garage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
- Stocking/building case displays
- Product preparation
- Help with market stand set up and tear down
- Cleaning and sanitizing market cases
- Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
- Differentiate between products, helping customers compare and contrast flavors, textures, parings, etc.
- Answer all customer questions and address concerns
- Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
- Handle all transactions with accuracy
- Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
- Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)
- Additional sanitation and market support as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of retail experience desired
- Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and lift 30 pounds
