About Platform 195
Platform 195 is a fast-growing travel retail media technology company. We build and operate Uplift — one of the first integrated buy-and-sell advertising technology stacks built specifically for the travel industry; and Amplify - full-service, data-fuelled retail marketing services. Our clients include some of the world's leading travel brands — TUI, HBX, easyJet, Hays Travel, Thomas Cook and Etihad Holidays among others. We're growing fast, with new partnerships coming on stream as we scale toward our next phase of growth.
We're a lean, founder-led team. We work with an external bookkeeping accountant for day-to-day accounts, but we've reached the point where the business needs a proper finance function — someone who owns the numbers, keeps everything clean, and helps us build the financial infrastructure a scaling technology business needs as we explore investment and growth partnerships.
The Role
This is a newly created part-time position, 3 days per week (£60–65k FTE pro-rated, circa £36–39k actual). You'll be the primary finance person inside the business — the link between our external accountant, our founders, and the financial rigour that comes with scaling a SaaS and services business. Day-to-day you'll own the operational finance function: invoicing, credit control, accruals, and monthly management accounts. You'll also help us build the financial infrastructure and reporting that supports conversations with potential investors and growth partners — clean metrics, consistent reporting, and a P&L that clearly reflects the performance of a growing technology business.
This is not a back-office role. You'll work closely with the founders and have real visibility into the direction of the business.
What You'll Do
Day-to-day finance operations

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

- Review and improve current finance processes — we use Xero
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies and control weaknesses and resolve them
- Ensure we have the right processes in place as the business scales
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 5+ years in a finance role, with meaningful time in a small or scaling business where you've owned the function rather than been part of a large team
- Hands-on with operational finance — you're comfortable raising invoices, picking up the phone to chase an overdue payment, and making sure the books close on time every month
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Comfortable producing management accounts independently
- Highly organised and detail-oriented — you notice when something doesn't add up and you fix it without being asked
- Good communicator — able to explain financial information clearly to non-finance founders

Strongly preferred
- Experience in a marketing SaaS, SaaS and services, or marketing agency business — you understand how recurring licence fees, retainer contracts and project-based work sit alongside each other on a P&L
- Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics: ARR, NRR, gross margin, Rule of 40
- Experience supporting a business through a fundraise, investor reporting process or similar
Nice to have
- Part-qualified or qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) — we're more interested in what you've done than what letters you have
- Experience building or improving a finance function from scratch in a scaling business
- Comfortable working with and maintaining a financial model monthly
What We Offer
- 3 days per week — flexible on which days
- £60–65k FTE pro-rated (circa £36–39k actual)
- Hybrid working — London-based, flexible on office days
- Real ownership of a function that matters — not a support role in a large finance team
- Visibility into a genuinely exciting growth phase for the business
- A small, high-calibre team that works fast and takes quality seriously
- Role reviewed after 6 months with potential to adjust days and scope
