Olympia International is a growing international fashion business working across the UK, Europe and Bangladesh. We are looking for an experienced, reliable and commercially minded finance professional to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is comfortable working independently in a growing owner-managed business. The immediate priority is to establish accurate financial records, reliable reporting and disciplined payment and credit-control processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero.
  • Reconcile all bank, credit-card and payment accounts regularly.
  • Review and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
  • Ensure supplier invoices and customer payments are correctly recorded and allocated.
  • Prepare supplier payment runs for Director approval.
  • Monitor outstanding customer balances and oversee weekly credit control.
  • Maintain a short-term cash-flow forecast showing expected receipts, payments and funding requirements.
  • Provide a concise weekly finance report covering cash position, overdue receivables, upcoming payments and any issues requiring attention.
  • Produce monthly management reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow commentary.
  • Check that transactions are correctly coded and supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Assist with VAT information, payroll coordination and month-end processes where required.
  • Liaise with the company’s external accountants and provide complete, accurate records for statutory accounts and tax filings.
  • Help improve financial controls, reporting processes and the use of Xero as the company grows.
  • Identify discrepancies, overdue items, cash-flow risks and control weaknesses promptly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualifications would be helpful but are not essential if you have strong, relevant experience. Experience within fashion, wholesale, importing, international trade or a multi-currency business would be an advantage.

Controls and authority

The successful candidate will prepare and organise supplier payments, but final payment approval and release will remain with the Director. The role does not initially have authority to approve payments independently.

Development of the role

This role will begin as a practical, hands-on finance position. There is scope for the responsibilities and number of working days to increase as the company grows and its finance requirements develop. Any progression will depend on performance, capability and the future needs of the business.

How to apply

Please submit your CV together with a short covering note confirming:

  • Your experience using Xero.
  • The types and sizes of businesses you have supported.
  • Your experience with reconciliations, cash-flow reporting, AP and AR.
  • Your current availability.
  • Your expected day rate.
  • Whether you are able to work from our Camden office when required.
  • When you would be available to start.
