Description

  • Use your financial expertise to support an organisation delivering vital services to thousands of individuals across the local community.
  • Take ownership of the full finance function while enjoying a part-time, hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to shape financial processes and future strategy.

Key Duties

  • Lead the day-to-day finance function and provide financial leadership to the organisation.
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee payroll, pensions, cash flow management and financial controls.
  • Support strategic planning through the provision of accurate financial insight and analysis.
  • Review and improve financial systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, governance standards and internal controls.
  • Build effective relationships with senior leadership, trustees and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Support and develop finance team members while fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.

Profile

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
  • Strong background in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Experience overseeing payroll, pensions and financial governance.
  • Proficiency with financial systems, ideally including Xero.
  • Demonstrable success in improving processes, strengthening controls and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
