Part Time Healthcare Assistant - Short Breaks & Holiday Provision (Lewisham Borough)
£15.45-£16.53 per hour

A group of established short-break and holiday-support services across Lewisham are seeking Support Workers who can bring patience, reliability and compassion to their teams. These settings offer structured activities, respite support and safe, nurturing environments throughout weekends, school holidays and flexible daily sessions.
What The Role Involves
You'll be part of a responsive team providing personalised support to children, young people and young adults with varying needs. If you're someone who stays calm, adapts quickly and communicates clearly, this role could suit you well.

Your Responsibilities
- Offering 1:1 support tailored to each individual
- Providing personal care where required
- Helping young people engage in activities, social opportunities and independence-building tasks
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, parents and carers
- Following safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety procedures
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive and safe environment
What You'll Need
- A genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs
- Care experience desirable, but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
- Minimum GCSE Grade C/Level 4 in Maths & English (or equivalent)
- Degree desirable
- Flexible, dependable and comfortable working at short notice
- Strong communication skills and an adaptable, patient approach
