Job Title: Part-Time Housekeeper

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Contract Type: Part-Time, Permanent

Hours: 6 - 18 hours per week

Staff Transport available: from Workington and Kendal areas.

Candidates: must be aged 18 at the start of employment.

Location: This role is based on-site at Langdale Hotel and Spa, Ambleside, LA22 9JD.

Role Summary

Are you ready to make a difference in our guests' experiences by ensuring their surroundings are clean, comfortable, and inviting? We are currently seeking diligent and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team. You'll play an important role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, creating a welcoming environment for our guests to enjoy throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy assigned lodges thoroughly, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas
  • Carry out dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain a pristine environment
  • Change linens and make beds with care and attention to detail
  • Replenish amenities such as toiletries and towels for guest comfort
  • Empty trash and recycling bins promptly and efficiently
  • Report maintenance issues or damages to management for quick resolution
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to protect guests and staff
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth lodge turnover and guest satisfaction

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills for working with team members and management
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift or move heavy items when required
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings to meet business needs
