Role Description

This is a part-time HR Consultant role based on-site in Gateshead. The HR Consultant will provide expert advice to clients on HR policies, procedures, and compliance, and support them in managing employee relations issues such as performance, conduct, and grievances.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and drafting HR documentation
  • Advising on labor and employment law considerations
  • Guiding managers through best-practice HR processes

The role involves:

  • Conducting HR assessments
  • Contributing to HR strategy and planning
  • Helping clients implement effective HR management practices

The consultant will:

  • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Ensure that all guidance is ethical, non-discriminatory, and aligned with current legislation

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience providing advisory support to organizations.
  • Ability to develop, review, and implement HR Policies that are compliant, clear, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Proven experience in Employee Relations, including handling performance issues, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Solid understanding of Labor and Employment Law and its practical application in workplace policies and practices.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPD or equivalent) and experience in an HR consulting or generalist role.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on-site.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client priorities effectively.
