Morson Edge is pleased to be supporting our client in looking for a part-time HR Generalist to join their UK HR team in Langley on a temporary basis.

You will provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers across a range of HR activities, including employee queries, HR administration, payroll, benefits, onboarding, and offboarding.

You will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, helping to resolve HR queries and ensuring HR processes are managed accurately and efficiently.

This is a part-time opportunity of 3 days a week which can be determined upon offer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR queries.
  • Manage day-to-day HR administration, including contracts, employee changes, holidays, absence, and documentation.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees.
  • Support employee relations matters, including performance, flexible working, and redundancies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are kept up to date and comply with UK employment legislation.
  • Manage relationships with external payroll and benefits providers.
  • Support the monthly UK payroll process, including checking payroll reports, coordinating with payroll providers, and preparing payroll journals.
  • Monitor payroll and HR deadlines to ensure payments and processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support HR projects, process improvements, and HR system updates.
  • Keep HR information and SharePoint pages up to date.
  • Support internal HR communications and local employee events.
  • Provide support to the wider HR team and HR Business Partners.
  • Carry out other HR duties and projects as required.

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar HR role.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices.
  • Experience supporting payroll and working with external payroll providers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • A practical, problem-solving approach.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A customer-focused and proactive approach.
  • A willingness to improve processes and learn new systems.
