Job Description
As a Kitchen Porter at Potters Resorts Five Lakes, you will play a key role in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. You will assist in food preparation, washing dishes, and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
- Ensure all kitchen work areas, including floors and surfaces, are kept clean and hygienic.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and helping chefs as needed.
- Collect and dispose of kitchen waste in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all food and equipment are stored properly to maintain health and safety standards.
- Assist with deliveries, ensuring stock is organized and stored appropriately.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain hygiene standards in line with Food Safety regulations.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and supervisors.
- Adhere to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures.

Hours:
- Part-time role, approx 20 - 25 hours per week
- Straight shifts – no split shifts!
- Shifts will be either, or a combination of:
- 7:30am – 4:00pm
- 2pm - 10.30pm
Pay:
- Earn between £10.85 and £12.71 per hour, depending on your age
A UK driving licence and your own vehicle is essential as you will be unable to reach us using public transport.
This is a permanent position - unfortunately, we are unable to consider students looking for work during their college/university holidays.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
