Your Day-to-Day Impact
Join Our Team as a Part Time Learning Support Assistant!
- Work with curriculum Tutors and the ALS team to provide support for individuals or groups of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
- Are you passionate about empowering young people with additional learning needs? We're seeking a compassionate, proactive Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated Additional Learning Support (ALS) team on a part time basis.
- In this rewarding role you’ll make a real difference by providing consistent, tailored support to named students within curriculum areas.
You'll work closely with curriculum staff and ALS Tutors to ensure each student’s academic, emotional and social needs are met. From breaking down classroom tasks to supporting with organisation, behaviour or even personal care, you'll play a vital role in helping students build independence and confidence.

We're looking for someone who understands inclusive education, values student voice and can support diverse learners with empathy, clarity and professionalism. You’ll contribute to reviews, develop SMART targets, and advocate for students as needed.

Is This You?
- 1 year’s general work experience of working with students in either schools, adult education, prisons or voluntary/charitable organisations or community work.
- Good standard of education 5 GCSE’s grade C or above or equivalent qualification or extensive experience
- Level 2 qualifications in English and maths
- 1 years’ experience in job role
- Possess a specialist level 2 qualification in Learning support or equivalent (desirable)
Personal Attributes
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to present concepts and information clearly, and appropriately, to meet the needs of individual learners
- Ability to use own initiative and work with minimum supervision
- Positive, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good skills in IT
- Experience of working with people with disabilities or learning difficulties
