Job Opportunity: Part-Time Mac Engineer

Robert Half have partnered with an Analytics organisation are working with a growing technology-focused organisation that is looking for a Part-Time Mac Engineer to support and develop its internal IT environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the organisation's macOS device estate through Microsoft Intune.
  • Handle device enrolment, configuration profiles, application deployment, patching and compliance.
  • Support Apple Business Manager and zero-touch device provisioning.
  • Manage the full device lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance and secure offboarding/wiping.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to Mac users across the business.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets through Zendesk, including triage, prioritisation and escalation.
  • Support user onboarding and offboarding, including device configuration and access management.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity and account-related issues.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement improvements, documentation and self-service solutions.
  • Support the administration of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.

Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience supporting macOS environments.
  • Proven experience managing Apple devices through Microsoft Intune or another MDM platform.
  • Experience with Apple Business Manager and automated/zero-touch provisioning.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience with device compliance, Conditional Access, MFA and identity management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and end-user support skills.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems such as Zendesk, Jira Service Management or similar.
  • Strong documentation and process management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience supporting distributed teams across the UK and US.
