Bayforest is a quantitative investment management group based in London. We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant / Tax professional to take hands-on responsibility for the day-to-day accounting, financial reporting and tax compliance of our UK businesses.
Key responsibilities
- Monthly management accounts and month-end close
- Journals, accruals, prepayments and balance-sheet reconciliations
- Invoicing, payments, payroll and pensions
- Cash-flow monitoring, budgeting and forecasting
- VAT returns and corporation tax compliance
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and iXBRL filings
- Group / multi-entity accounting and consolidation entries
- Preparation of year-end audit information and liaison with external auditors
- Maintaining strong financial controls and improving accounting processes
- Ad hoc finance and tax matters

What we're looking for
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Minimum 5 years' accounting experience gained within an accounting practice
- Financial services or investment management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and UK tax requirements
- Strong Xero, IRIS and Excel skills
- Able to work independently, take ownership of the accounting remit and meet required deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach

Salary
Competitive, depending on experience
