BCB Marketing | Hybrid (UK-based) | Part-time, 15–20 hours/week

About us:

BCB Marketing helps small businesses and SMEs become more visible without needing an in-house marketing team. We handle social media, content, digital marketing, strategy, design and marketing support. One of our specialisms is working with care providers, where we manage ongoing marketing across websites, Google Business Profiles, carehome.co.uk listings, email newsletters and social media for multiple locations.

We're a small, growing team. Everyone here has a meaningful role to play, and no two days look quite the same.

About the role:

We're looking for a part-time Marketing & Social Media Assistant to support our Content & Creative Lead with day-to-day implementation across our client portfolio. This is a hands-on, internal role: you won't be client-facing day to day, but the work you do keeps our clients' marketing moving.

You'll take content plans and strategy from brief to finished output: scheduling posts, building graphics, drafting copy, laying out reports, and keeping everything organised. Over time, as you get to know our clients and ways of working, there's real scope to take on more.

What you'll be doing:

Social media execution

  • Turning content plans into scheduled posts for multiple clients across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Creating on-brand graphics in Canva using existing templates
  • Drafting short, clear post copy from supplied angles, notes and briefs
  • Scheduling posts and stories, applying correct tags and links, and logging activity
  • Creating simple Reels and short-form video content
  • Monitoring basic engagement, responding using approved phrases, and flagging anything that needs attention

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Content & design support

  • Laying out newsletters, case studies and simple PDFs from provided copy and brand guidelines
  • Sourcing and organising imagery from stock libraries and client folders
  • Preparing simple slide decks and visuals for strategy and performance review meetings

What we're looking for:

  • Familiar with Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, along with tools like Meta Business Suite, Buffer and Birdeye, and willing to learn others
  • Strong written English and excellent attention to detail

Desirable

  • Experience with service businesses or within the care sector
  • Basic familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp) and website platforms (e.g. Kentico)
  • Experience with scheduling platforms, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, Asana, Slack or similar project-management and communication tools

We're not looking for a particular degree or qualification. We care much more about how you think, work and communicate.

What we value:

Growth, integrity, focus, participation and initiative. If you like taking ownership, improving how things run, and being part of a small, professional but friendly team, you'll fit right in here. We're looking for someone who takes a task and thinks "got it, I'll get that done."

The details:

  • Hours: Part-time, 15–20 hours per week to start (flexible, roughly 3–4 hours each weekday morning), with scope to grow over time
  • Location: Hybrid: in the office 4 days a week in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
  • Salary: £24,000–£28,000 FTE, pro rata, depending on experience, to be discussed at interview
  • Reports to: Our Content & Creative Lead

How to apply:

Please complete our short application form and attach your CV and portfolio.

We'd also love to see examples of your work: social media accounts you've managed, content you've created, Canva designs, university projects, freelance work, or your own social media. We're more interested in how you think and create than in a polished portfolio, so don't worry if it's informal.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview.
