Role Description
This is a fully remote Part-Time Tutor role with Tutorly. The tutor will deliver engaging small-group online lessons, helping students understand core concepts, develop their subject knowledge, complete coursework, and prepare for examinations.
Tutors will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering structured, interactive lessons that engage all students within the group.
- Explaining concepts clearly, answering questions, assessing student understanding, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching approaches to support different ability levels within the group.
- Maintaining accurate records of lessons and student progress.
- Communicating professionally with students and, where appropriate, parents or guardians.

Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more academic areas, such as Maths, Science, English, or Languages, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and confidently.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, coaching, or relevant subject experience is highly beneficial.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, structured, and interactive online group lessons.
- Strong classroom and group-management skills, with the ability to keep multiple students engaged and involved.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different abilities, learning needs, and levels of understanding within a group.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, including preparing lesson materials and maintaining accurate student progress records.
- Comfortable using online teaching platforms, video conferencing software, and digital learning resources.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable environment for delivering professional online lessons.
- Availability to teach during agreed time slots, including some evenings and weekends where required.
- A relevant degree, qualification, or current study in the subject being taught is preferred but not strictly required.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and non-discriminatory learning environment for all students.
