Payroll & Accounts Assistant - Part-time (15 to 16 hours a week)

Location: Outside of Leatherhead with beautiful surroundings and free on-site parking, you will need to drive for this role due to location

Salary: £31,250 FTE, (£16 per hour) salary will be pro-rata plus 20 days holiday plus BH (pro-rata), Xmas closure, birthday off, annual bonus, socials, high achievers' incentives and longevity within this friendly small team.

Hours: Ideally 4 days a week, can offer 3 days with flexibility on hours

Hybrid offered after 3-6 months training (depending on experience) for 1 to 2 days working from home

Our client, a reputable organisation located in the picturesque Surrey Hills, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their friendly Accounts team. This is a fantastic chance to play an integral role in supporting payroll and accounts while enjoying a balanced work-life schedule.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Payroll & Accounts Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive payroll and accounts support. The organisation prides itself on delivering outstanding service, and the ideal candidate will possess a polite and professional demeanour when interacting with clients and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mainly processing payroll on the Sage System, including changes, running reports, and addressing queries.
  • Input accounting transactions, including fixed assets and credit card statements.
  • Monitor cash levels, allocate cash, and produce bank reconciliations.
  • Input sales invoices and reconcile intercompany balances monthly.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in a payroll related role, ideally use of Sage but not essential
  • Some basic accounts experience would also be beneficial
  • Strong numerical skills with a good understanding of Excel.
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
