Job Title: Part Time Payroll Administrator

Location: Killinghall, Harrogate

Salary: £14.00 - £18.00 per hour

Hours: 2 to 3 days per week, Monday to Friday

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Payroll Administrator to join a successful and established organisation with over 25 years of proven service. This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a varied finance environment.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for payroll administration while also supporting the wider finance team with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and day-to-day financial processing.

Key Responsibilities Of Part Time Payroll Administrator

  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation.
  • Maintain payroll records and manage payroll-related administration.
  • Respond to payroll queries and support employees with payroll matters.
  • Support day-to-day finance and accounting activities.
  • Assist with bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Process purchase and sales ledger invoices.
  • Use accounting systems including Xero and Sage to maintain financial information.
  • Produce reports and support finance administration using Excel.
  • Maintain organised records and ensure accuracy across payroll and finance processes.
  • Provide general support to the wider finance team as required.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a payroll position with a strong understanding of payroll processes and legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and reliable approach with strong communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own transport.
