Job Title: Part-Time Payroll Coordinator

Location: Halifax

Salary: £13.75 - £16.50 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Hours: 20-25 hours, over 3-4 days

Are you an experienced Payroll Coordinator looking to join a well-established business.

This is an excellent opportunity where you will play a key role in delivering accurate and efficient payroll services. As Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and providing an excellent level of service.

Working within a friendly and collaborative environment, this role is ideal for someone with strong payroll knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to manage multiple payrolls while maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy and customer service.

Key Responsibilities As Payroll Coordinator

  • Process a variety of end-to-end payrolls accurately and within strict deadlines
  • Manage weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
  • Process payroll using Sage Payroll software
  • Administer CIS deductions and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Manage statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP
  • Ensure accurate Real Time Information submissions to HMRC
  • Administer workplace pension schemes and automatic enrolment requirements
  • Respond to payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Keep up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years' payroll experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll
  • Experience processing end-to-end payroll
  • Knowledge of CIS is essential
  • Good understanding of RTI, SSP, SMP, SPP and automatic enrolment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet payroll deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
