Payroll Specialist

Three Bridges Recruitment is working with an established Scottish business in Stirling looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its team on a part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong payroll knowledge who wants to reduce their hours without stepping away from meaningful, technical payroll work.

Why work here?

This is a long-established, family-owned business with a supportive, close-knit team and a genuinely flexible approach to part-time hours.

You’ll benefit from:

  • Salary around £41,500 FTE / pro rata, with flexibility for the right person
  • 35 days’ annual leave
  • 10% employer pension contribution
  • BUPA private healthcare
  • Company sick pay – up to six months at full pay
  • Flexitime
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • A friendly and supportive working environment

The role is 20–25 hours across Monday to Friday. While it is office-based, there is flexibility around start and finish times, making it particularly well suited to someone looking for greater balance alongside an experienced-level payroll role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A payroll qualification would be useful but isn’t essential. The business is open on sector background.

More important is someone who knows payroll, gets on well with people and will fit comfortably into an established team.
