We are a pharmacy based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and are looking for a flexible and reliable GPhC-registered Pharmacist to join and support our in-house pharmacy team.
The role will initially offer a minimum of 2 hours of work per day, with the potential for additional hours as prescription volumes increase and the pharmacy grows.
The primary purpose of the role will be to carry out final clinical and accuracy checks against prescriptions that have already been issued, ensuring medicines are appropriate and ready for dispensing or dispatch.
The pharmacist will also support other clinical and pharmacy-related activities where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Responsible Pharmacist (RP) when required
  • Carry out final clinical and accuracy checks against issued prescriptions
  • Support the safe and effective dispensing and supply of medicines
  • Respond to patient medication and treatment queries
  • Write and review treatment descriptions
  • Review patient-facing clinical and treatment information
  • Support the development and review of pharmacy-related clinical content
  • Maintain appropriate pharmacy records and procedures
  • Support the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the pharmacy

Requirements

  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Comfortable acting as the Responsible Pharmacist
  • Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and flexible with availability
  • Able to work on-site in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter

This position would suit a pharmacist looking for flexible part-time or locum work, with a minimum of 2 hours per day and the opportunity for increased hours as the pharmacy becomes busier.
