Role Description
The Practice Accountant is a part-time, on-site role based in Norwich. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for client practices, including posting transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include:

Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping and general accounting skills, including ledger maintenance and bank reconciliation.
- Experience preparing statutory annual accounts and supporting month-end or year-end reporting.
- Practical knowledge of payroll processing, including statutory deductions and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with VAT returns and an understanding of relevant tax regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Excel or similar tools).
- Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and ability to manage multiple client files accurately.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work and internal collaboration.
- Relevant qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., AAT, ACCA part-qualified) or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Norwich, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical and professional standards.
