About the Job

Location: Manton Industrial Park, Bedford (MK41 7PB)
Job Type: Part-Time
Salary: £13.00 - £14.50 per hour (Negotiable depending on specific machinery experience)

Schedule

  • Hours: 08:00 - 14:00
  • Flexibility: Flexible shifts / working days can be discussed to suit the right candidate (approx. 15-25 hours per week).

We are a busy, multi-disciplinary print and display specialist based on Manton Industrial Park in Bedford. Our production facility handles an exciting mix of large format signage, commercial digital print, custom laser cutting, and apparel merchandise.

We are looking for a reliable, versatile, and experienced Part-Time Print Finisher / Production Assistant to join our team. You will be taking raw output from our high-end press lineup and meticulously converting it into finished, flawless products ready for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Substrate Mounting: Assisting with backing and mounting printed graphics cleanly onto soft and rigid sign boards (Foamex, Dibond, acrylic, magnetic rolls).
  • Large Format: Printing, weeding, trimming, laminating, taping and eyeleting vinyl banners and graphics coming off our Mimaki UV roll-to-roll/flatbed systems and Roland eco-solvent wide-format printers.
  • Small Format Digital: Printing, trimming, sorting, gathering and packing multi-page documents, booklets and marketing collateral produced on our Xerox production presses (color and mono).
  • Laser Cutting Post-Processing: Checking, cleaning and organising components produced on our laser cutting machinery.
  • DTF Apparel Prep: Handling, peeling and curing Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfer prints for custom clothing production.
  • Quality Control & Dispatch: Managing final quality checks against job sheets, ensuring 100% accuracy and securely packing jobs to survive courier transit.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Precision Tool Use: Confident using hand trimmers, scalpels, sweep/laminating tools and standard finishing workspace benches.
  • Strong Organisation: Ability to read production tickets accurately, track multi-part components and keep a tidy workstation (Trello Atlassian board knowledge would be a plus, but not mandatory as we would train on site).
