Procurement Administrative Assistant
Head Office | 22.5 hours per week | 12-month maternity cover | Flexible working pattern

We're looking for a Procurement Administrative Assistant to join our team at Ainscough Crane Hire on a 12-month maternity cover contract, supporting our Procurement team with the day-to-day administration that keeps everything running smoothly.
This is a 22.5-hour per week, part-time role with flexibility around how those hours are worked. Whether you're looking for three full days a week or prefer to work five shorter days around school hours, we're happy to discuss a working pattern that works for you.
Please note: this is a 12-month maternity cover contract and is not a term-time-only role.
What will you be doing?
Working closely with our Procurement Manager and Buyers, you'll provide essential administrative support across a range of procurement activities.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Managing supplier compliance documentation
- Liaising with suppliers by email and telephone
- Placing orders for PPE requirements
- Taking minutes at supplier meetings
- Processing new supplier documentation
- Running reports and maintaining accurate records
- Managing supplier evaluations
- Recording and monitoring supplier defects
- Providing general administrative support to the Procurement team

What are we looking for?
You don't necessarily need previous procurement experience. Full training will be provided, so we're more interested in finding someone who is organised, reliable and keen to learn.
You'll need to be comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word, with some knowledge of Excel preferred but not essential.
