12 hours per week | £14.25 per hour (£8,892 per annum) | 12-month contract

Brentwood CVS is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Projects Officer to join our small and friendly team.
The main focus of the role will be developing and securing funding for CVS projects and supporting their effective delivery. You will identify funding opportunities, prepare and submit applications, manage funder requirements and help ensure our projects achieve positive outcomes for local people.
You will also coordinate designated CVS projects, including our Community & Wellbeing Hub, Hospital Discharge Community Support and other community activities, working closely with colleagues, volunteers, community organisations and partners.

As part of our small team, the role is varied. You will also support our Volunteer Hub, help promote volunteering opportunities, undertake occasional community outreach and provide practical support with CVS events and activities. There may also be occasional opportunities to assist with community weddings and room hire.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of fundraising and preparing successful funding applications
- Has experience of managing, coordinating or supporting community projects
- Understands project monitoring and reporting
- Has experience of working with volunteers and community partners
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage deadlines
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Can work independently while also being a supportive team member
- Is confident using IT and maintaining accurate records
- Is passionate about supporting local communities
- Is flexible and happy to get involved in a wide range of activities

Experience of working in the voluntary, community or charity sector would be an advantage, as would experience of wellbeing, health, hospital discharge or community support projects.
What the role offers
This is an opportunity to join a friendly local organisation where you can make a real and practical difference to people and communities across Brentwood.
Hours: 12 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday 9.30am–1pm, Wednesday 9.30am–1pm and Friday 9.15am–2.15pm
Salary: £8,892 per annum (£14.25 per hour)
Contract: 12 months
Location: Merrymeade House, Brentwood, with occasional local community outreach
